AN EVENING AT THE RACES
Year before last we were approached by CTO member Steve Lang with a request from two
Modified Race Car drivers to put Challenge the Outdoors, Inc on their cars to help promote our
organization. These drivers race in Beaver Dam and Oshkosh. They are Chad Hummelmeier #3H
and Kelly Brown #9B. The Oshkosh race is held at the Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway at the
fairgrounds in Oshkosh on Friday nights and is a 1/3 mile dirt track.
We feel that it would be a enjoyable evening if we were to go as a group. The Grandstand opens at
5:00 with the race starting at 7:00. We are going to check to see if a tailgate party before is
acceptable.
If you have an interest in participating in this event please call Jean at (920)525-1123 or Steve at
(920) 948-4847. Watch for more details in the July Newsletter.

CTO Third Annual
“Sight in your gun day”
Where: Nicolet Rifle Club, Suamico WI. Time: 3:00 pm—7:00 pm. For map and directions
please Click Here and also in the files section of our chat group (you can join the chat
group by sending a blank e-mail to: ctoforme-subscribe@yahoogroups.com).
Nicolet Rifle Club inc. has graciously offered Challenge The Outdoors Inc. use of their
range for the afternoon. NRC volunteers will run the sight in portion of the shoot and staff
the range. The sight in is free of charge to any disabled hunter that has a class A, B, or C,
disabled hunting permit. Shooters are required to provide their own firearm, ammunition,
hearing and eye protection. Hearing and eye protection are mandatory to use the range
(none will be provided). This sight in will be for firearms only (no bows) firing a single
projectile (no fine shot or patterning). Bring your rifle, pistol, muzzleloader, or slug gun.
You may bring more than one gun, but depending on how busy it is, may be asked to rotate
to the rear of the line after each weapon is sighted in (to give others a chance to sight in
too). Please bring any adaptive equipment you use for hunting along to display and share
ideas with the other hunters. CTO will have an information tent on adaptive equipment set
up. Food and beverages will be available. A CTO committee has been formed to oversee the
event. The committee members are: Toby Malchow, and Bob Mayer. If you have any
questions, ideas, or equipment you wish to display. Contact Toby at 920-434-1663 or Bob
Mayer at 920-469-2021.
