ICE FISHING OUTING SCHEDULED FOR ??, 2007

This year we are waiting on safe ice to determine the date for our ice fishing outing with our
destination being Shawano Lake.
We will be meeting at 8 a.m. at the Perkins Restaurant on
the corner of Hwy 22 & Airport Drive in Shawano (1398 East Green Bay St.). Show up
early and catch some breakfast. We’ll caravan out to our fishing destination at 8:30 a.m
. and
with the help of some local anglers we will hopefully be able to get over some decent fish.
We’ll be setting up tip-ups for game fish and jigging for pan fish. The February 11th outing is
being run in conjunction with the Figure 8 Musky Clubs Annual Ice-Fishing Jamboree, which
runs from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The Figure 8 Musky Club will offer prizes for big fish in
several categories and a fundraising raffle is also being held by and for the Figure 8 Musky
Club.
Many great free prizes will be given out to kids who register before 11 a.m.  They also
do a great job of plowing roads on the lake so don’t be too worried if you only have 2-wheel
drive.

CTO will provide several fishing shelters, including those that were donated to us by The
Wingettes, a few heaters, some fishing equipment and bait. We will also have a camp stove
to heat up hot chocolate and we’ll be grilling out this year as well. If you have something you
wish to grill bring it along otherwise we’ll grill up something for you.

Thanks to the Clintonville National Guard we have access to a large heated shelter and will
have it on hand to accommodate our cold blooded friends and believe me it will be plenty
warm (nearly t-shirt warm) in the shelter and there will be plenty of elbowroom too.
Volunteers are always welcome as we will need help cutting holes, setting up shelters and tip-
ups, baiting hooks and hopefully un-hooking some BIG FISH!!

We “MUST” know the number of people planning on attending so Please call either
Larry Zander at:(920) 525-5637 or Mark Baehr at: (920) 766-9218 or by email at:
baehrm@sbcglobal.net by February 4th to let them know you plan on attending.
When
planning any outdoor event, especially this time of year, Mother Nature can and often does
require a last minute/day decision on whether the outing will go on as planned. In this case a
severe snowstorm or bad ice conditions could cause us to cancel or postpone the outing. We
will keep in touch with those of you who contact us and send an e-mail to all those signed up
on our CTO E-mail/chat group list. So sign-up soon so you too can be kept up to speed. We
Hope To Hear From You Soon!! Tight Lines To All!!
